Guatape is a little town surrounded by lakes and mountains about two hours away from Medellin. climbing the 740 steps to the top of ‘ The Rock of Guatape’ (or El Peñón de Guatapé in Spanish)
We took a helicopter to Guatape rather than sitting in a bus for 4 hours. The views are spectacular and so much better quicker if you want to save time! Worth the $$. When you arrive, rent a tuk tuk to drive you to the Rock and town.
